  1. Open Outlook 2007.
  2. From the Tools menu, choose Account Settings
  3. Click the New button to create a new account
  4. Choose the Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP or HTTP option, then click Next.
  5. In the Your Name box, type your name as it should appear to others.
  6. In the E-mail Address box, type your full email address (ex. name@yourdomain.com).
  7. In the Password and Retype Password boxes, type your email password.
  8. Choose the Manually configure server settings or additional server types option.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Click Internet Email.
  11. Click Email and then click next.
  12. Under User Information, verify and correct the following:
    • In the Your Name box, make sure your name appears as you want it to appear to other people.
    • In the Email Address box, make sure your full email address appears (ex. name@yourdomain.com).
  13. Under Server Informationconfigure the following settings:
    • Set the Account Type option to POP3.
    • In the Incoming Mail Server box, enter the mail server you have been assigned (typicall mail.yourdomain.com).
    • In the Outgoing Mail Server box, enter the mail server you have been assigned (typicall mail.yourdomain.com).
  14. Under Login Informationconfigure the following settings:
    • Set the User Name box to your full email address (ex. name@yourdomain.com).
    • In the Password box, enter your email password
    • If you want Outlook to remember your password, check the Remember password option. Otherwise, you will be prompted to enter your password each time you open Outolook.
    • In the Outgoing Mail Server box, enter the mail server you have been assigned (typically mail.yourdomain.com).
  15. Click More Settings
  16. Click the Outgoingtab.
    • Select the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication checkbox.
    • Choose the Use same settings as my incoming mail server option
  17. Click the Advancedtab.
    • In the Outgoing Server (SMTP) box, it probably says 25. Change this value to 587.
  18. Click OK to close the Internet E-mail Settings dialog.
  19. Click Next to complete the account creation wizard.
