WooCommerce How To: Bulk disable/enable reviews (comments) for products  Print this Article

In WooCommerce, products are a special type of post, and their reviews are just comments, exactly like you would have your typical blog post. As such, you can manage them in much the same way as you would any other type of comment in your WordPress site.

To disable or enable reviews (comments) on multiple products, first, go to your WordPress admin, and then go to your WooCommerce Products page.

Depending on the number of products you have in your shop, you may want to change the number of items displayed per page.
In the top right of the page, just below your username, there is a pull-down button that says "Screen Options". Click that to show your settings for this page. You can choose which columns will be displayed, and how many items to show per page. Your mileage may vary in terms of how many you can show per page, but if you have hundreds of products, editing them 20 at a time may grow tedious. Once you set your preferred columns and page size, click the Apply button.

Now, in the products display table, there is a checkbox in the far left column in the first row. Checking that box will select all of the checkboxes on the screen. You can also optionally select just the checkboxes related to the products that you want to edit. Once the appropriate checkboxes are checked, use the Bulk Actions drop-down list to choose the Edit option and then click the Apply button to its right.

This displays the bulk edit screen.

You will now see a multi-select box that lists all of the products that will be updated, a checkbox list of product categories, and a series of labels pertaining to all of the options available during bulk edit. The first item in the list is Comments, and the associated drop-down list is set to No Change. You should change that value to Allow (if you want to enable comments) or Do not allow (if you want to disable comments).

Leave all of the other available fields set to "No change" to ensure that you are only changing the comment status of the selected products.

At the bottom right of the bulk edit section is a blue update button. When you click this button, it will change the comment status for each of the products included in the bulk edit.
