Thunderbird Chat Setup Print this Article
1. Open Thunderbird
2. Under Accounts, select Chat in Create a new account
3. In the new window, select XMPP then Next
4. Enter your email address that you wish to use in Username, then select Next
5. Enter the Password of the email address you entered in the Username on the previous page
6. If you wish, enter a User Alias. Open the XMPP Options folder, edit the Connection Security to Use encryption if available, and enter the Server of your Username, Then select Next
7. The select Finish and your new chat has been created
