Creating a Mail Exchange Account  Print this Article

1.       First open your Control Panel by right clicking the bottom left corner, then Control Panel.

 

2.       Make sure View by: is set to Category, and click User Accounts

 

3.       Then Mail, and a new window will appear named Mail Setup. Select Show Profiles…

 

4.       In the new popup, click Add, choose a profile name for your new mail account, then okay


Automatic Account Setup

1.       Under E-mail Account, fill out Your Name, E-mail Address, create and confirm a password for your account (not e-mail password) , then click Next

 

2.       Afterwards, Windows Security should appear. Type the password for the e-mail address above, and OK

3.       If no problems occur during the test, it should look something like this. If not, read further for the Manual Setup

Manual Account Setup

1.       If Automatic Account Setup failed, go back to this go back to this page (Control Panel, User Accounts, Mail, Show Profiles)

2.       highlight the failed account in blue, then click Remove, Yes, then Add

 

3.       Create your New Profile name, select OK, fill in the Manual setup or additional server types circle, then Next

4.       Select Microsoft Exchange Server or compatible service,then next

5.       Copy “mail.xmailgateway.com” and paste in the Server text box and e-mail address in the User Name text box, then Next

 

6.       A new Windows Security popup should appear. Enter your e-mail in the Username test box, and Passwordfor that e-mail address in Password text box, then OK

7.       Your mail account has been created. Select Finish

8.       To implement your new account on your preferred mail program, on the Mail Window that should still be open, select Always use this profile, then
open the drop down menu below, and select your new account
